A reel can name the thing you’ve carried for years. Here, lessons and guided conversations help you understand what shaped it, how it shows up in relationships, and what you may want to do differently now.

01 / Why this space exists
Recognition is a beginning, not the whole conversation.
Sometimes a sentence lands because it gives language to a feeling you’ve never quite been able to explain. The Cut is a place to slow down after that moment and examine the patterns beneath it.
Why does being needed sometimes feel like being loved? Why can asking for care feel like asking too much? What happens when belonging depends on silence? We connect these everyday questions to family rules, attachment, the ways our bodies adapted, and grief that went unnamed.
The aim is to help you notice patterns, distinguish care that goes both ways from care that depends on your usefulness, and consider your needs, boundaries, and choices with greater self-trust.
There’s no requirement to disclose your history or arrive with the right vocabulary. You can listen, learn, reflect, and participate at your own pace.
02 / Inside The Cut
A curriculum with room for a real conversation.
Come in through the lessons, the live sessions, or a question you can’t shake.
01
Short lessons
On-demand videos and reflection prompts help you examine one idea at a time. The classroom begins with orientation and curiosity, then explores the body, family roles, attachment, and grief. These foundations help us understand why painful patterns can feel familiar.
02
Live teaching
Guided conversations connect ideas to ordinary life, including feeling tolerated, reciprocity versus usefulness, over-explaining, shame, and what happens when hurt is followed by silence instead of repair. Bring a question, take part, or simply listen. Coffee chats offer a less structured way to connect.
03
Community between sessions
The discussion feed keeps the inquiry going with session notes, questions, and reflections. You don’t have to carry a thought alone until the next meeting.
An actual look inside the classroom. Lessons are available to explore at your pace.
03 / The way we work
Curious, without demanding that you be ready.
Some days the useful question is “What happened here?” Other days it’s “Why can’t I be curious about this yet?” Both belong. I teach as an educator and trauma-informed coach, with care for what people have lived through and respect for what they choose to share.
We make room for difficult experiences and use questions, reflection, and learning to broaden our understanding. You decide what feels relevant and what you want to explore further.
The Cut is an educational community, not group therapy or a substitute for mental health care.
