The Humble Pie
Trauma Recovery Coaching That Meets You Where You Are
I’m Jane Davidson, a certified trauma recovery coach and trauma-informed educator based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I work with adults who were taught to be strong instead of supported,
reasonable instead of real, and grateful instead of honest.
If you have carried too much for too long, The Humble Pie is our place to begin again with honesty, softness, and a nervous system that no longer has to apologize. I offer online trauma recovery coaching and a free 30-minute consult so you can see if working together feels right.
What is Trauma Recovery Coaching?
Trauma recovery coaching is about rebuilding trust in yourself after life has taken pieces of that trust away. If you’ve spent years surviving instead of living, you’re not alone.
Unlike therapy, we don’t stay rooted in the past... we honor it, but our focus is on who you are today and where you want to go.
As your coach, I walk alongside you while you untangle old survival patterns that once kept you safe but now keep you stuck. Together, we practice new ways to set boundaries, regulate your nervous system, and build relationships with yourself and others that feel steady, honest, and real.
Coaching is future-focused, collaborative, and practical.
It’s not about fixing you...because you’re not broken.
It’s about giving you the tools, insight, and support you need to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Think of it as learning to begin again… gently, and from scratch.

What Healing Might Feel Like
Trust yourself: Learn to hear and believe your inner voice.
Set safe boundaries: Say yes and no in ways that protect your energy.
Care for your nervous system: Practice tools that bring steadiness and clarity.
Define your goals: Move at your own pace toward the life you want.
This is the work we do together, one session at a time.
In trauma recovery coaching, you’ll find a steady, supportive space where survival stops running the show and your own wisdom begins to lead the way.

I work with women and gender-expansive folks who were taught to shrink themselves to keep the peace.
People who’ve held everything together, often while disappearing in the process.
My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in reality.
No toxic positivity. No spiritual bypass.
Just steady support, practical tools, and space for your story to breathe.
If you’re tired, overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, or simply ready for something different, you’re in the right place.
You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s begin again… from scratch.

The Humble Pie Project
Many of us learned survival patterns to stay safe: people-pleasing, shrinking, staying too long, giving too much, apologizing for our own needs, or carrying the emotional weight for everyone else.
The Humble Pie Project is my creative 12-step framework for unlearning those habits and returning to yourself with honesty, humor, and compassion. It borrows the familiar shape of 12-step recovery, but it’s designed for people healing from moral injury, family patterns, and nervous-system overload, not addiction.
It isn’t a sobriety program, and it’s not about substances. It’s about recovering your voice, your boundaries, and the parts of you that were never broken in the first place. If you love insight, clarity, and a wink of humor, and you’ve ever felt a bit like Alice in your own Wonderland, you’ll feel at home here.
