Where in the World is Volcano?

The town of Volcano sits deep in the Gold Country of Amador County. It may seem miles from anywhere, but getting here isn't as hard as you might think.

Volcano and the Humble Pies are located just off scenic highway 88 in Amador County, California, about 10 miles east of the towns of Jackson and Sutter Creek, and about 45 miles southeast of Sacramento.

While it occasionally snows in Volcano in the winter, chains are rarely required to reach the town. At an elevation of 2000 feet, Volcano is well below the Sierra Nevada snow line.
