Pie makes people happy. There's nothing quite like a slice of warm pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!
Making and selling pie here in Volcano is a treat - its great to give people a slice of good memories and hear the 'mmms'. The immediate satisfaction is unbeatable! I've been baking since I was a kid, always the one to bring dessert - but pie is my favorite, and with so many varieties - I can't wait to try them all!
I love the old standards, but I'll also make what I call 'heritage' pies - pies that are rarely made commercially - like Custards, Rhubarb, and Mince, among others.
